Holy Oils Pocket Chrismatory Set
Descripción
Chrismatories are vessels in which the holy oils are kept: the oil of catechumens, the oil of the sick, and the Holy Chrism. They can be of two types: large ones to store the oil in churches, and small ones to administer the sacraments elsewhere. After the Chrism Mass, the parish priest receives the oils and has the obligation to diligently store them in a dignified place (Code of Canon Law, c. 847). They are usually kept in a noble cabinet or urn placed in the baptistery or sacristy. It is convenient to place them there in large and artistic chrismatories, to be used in the administration of sacraments within the church. But there are also tubular chrismatories divided into three sections that are practical for administering sacraments outside the church, also known as pocket or portable chrismatories, an essential item for Catholic priests. Made of silver-plated bronze with plastic hermetic sealing. Uses: Ordination, Confirmation, Holy Chrism, Baptism, Consecration of the Altar. One of the exclusive and necessary items for every priest. Measurements: Total height: 5.7 centimeters. Diameter: 3.2 centimeters. Symbol: JHS.
