It is made of beeswax or, at least, must contain a considerable percentage of it, due to its evocation of divinity. Such composition and importance are extensively highlighted in the ancient hymn of the Exultet.\n\nFeatures\nThe candle is renewed precisely during this ceremony, replacing the one from the previous year.
